“I will lead blind Israel down a new path, guiding them along an unfamiliar way.
I will brighten the darkness before them and smooth out the road ahead of them.
Yes, I will indeed do these things; I will not forsake them.” (Isaiah 42:16 )
“Lord, may we see the hearts of those who have never heard the name of Jesus in their own language. Jesus is a foreigner to them but He desires to dwell in their hearts. May we see their hearts as ready to hear and respond to your Good News. We pray that Your Word will become flesh among these people.
Equip your Body to be unified in their discovery, planning and engagement of unreached people groups. We imagine what these communities would be like if the unreached could make God’s Word the core of their lives. May new churches spring up among these groups. We believe the church that has the Bible in their own language really is the hope of the world. Your Word has power to transform whole communities!
We remember what the angel said to Mary as he explained the immaculate conception, “For the word of God will never fail.” (Luke 1:37) So, we believe as the unreached begin to hear Your Word in their own language that this coming generation can leave behind the legacy of enduring access to God’s Word for every person on earth. We put our complete confidence in You to accomplish this. We will not dishonor You by unworthy doubts and fears, but will be strong in faith, giving glory to You alone.
We will watch and pray as You help Your body to labor together in the unity of the Spirit to translate Your Word into languages where it’s never been heard. We pray in Jesus’ name that You would produce 100-fold fruit in each of the remaining people groups without Your Word. Please allow us to see the harvest growing when we become discouraged. May your harvest in turn be used to seed new crops in new languages, Amen.”
“For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the Lord.” (Habakkuk 2:14)
